Cool Yahoo promotes Firefox!!

Change your user agent to IE and go to yahoo.com. It does not appear every every single time but this may be only for Linux machines. Now both search giants promote/support Firefox.

I am totally a Google fan!! There, i 've said it.
Without Google Chrome, Yahoo would not have done this.
Bye bye IE, we will miss you.

I will also keep Firefox as my first choice when Chrome comes to Linux.
I hope Firefox will implement that multi-process thing that Chrome has and prevents the browser from freezing if something goes wrong with one of the tabs.

But Firefox on Yahoo main page? I believe this translates to at least 1 million firefox new users within next week(referring to those that will use firefox because they saw it on yahoo).

I hardly use my Firefox browser at all. I have come to really like Seamonkey better but that's just me.

Why miss out?
To see all the new Yahoo! home page has to offer, please upgrade to a more recent browser.

Supported browsers include:

Internet Explorer 7 optimized by Yahoo!
Firefox 2.0
Safari 2.0
Opera 9
Flock 1.1
So they still promote ie.

How did I miss this "Flock?" And they even have a Linux version! Never knew about Flock until now. I'll be experimenting with it.

EDIT: It's even in CRUX ports! Installing it now...

As I'm sure you know by now, the latest Flock is based on Firefox 3. So it comes from good stock. I had it installed briefly, just prior to my last data wipe, but didn't get much chance to play around with it. Can you use Firefox 3 themes with it?

I have to admit, that I hate Firefox badly. It's true that it has good add-ons, still it's far slower than Opera. If it only had a good and working YouTube downloader (as it hasn't, since the widgets are not working), and a Return Receipt feature for its mail client, I would bid them farewell. Firefox somehow never ceased to remind me on I.E. I know it is not the same, but I sense the same lack of creativeness concerning the user interface. There are themes, but if you just take a look to Opera's interface you'll understand what I mean.
Still, I have to use FF, because it's the best choice for now.
