    Smile I am a newbie

Hi, I just joined the club and want to say a few words about me.
I am a retired chemical engineer with interests in math, physics and new technologies. The place where I stay is an old farm in Saxony, Germany. Born in Dresden, the capital of Saxony and over 750 years old, the city, where our famous king "August der Starke" lived around 1650.
I just slaughtered one of our chicken and made a good tasting soup. We have quite a lot of chicken, running around in the woods and the fields. Our area is hilly and close to the boarder to Poland and Chech Republic.

I joined the club because I decided to use Zenwalk 5.2 on my old Compaq Presario 1245 and looking for advice in setting it up. I do have some knowladge in WIN2k, but almost zero in Linux. Becaus of the age of my laptop, it has only 3 GB HD, 160 MB RAM maximum and 330 MHz AMD processor. I choose Zenwalk after a long Googling for OS for old laptops.

I am proud that my wireless LANUSB adapter is working now ( after long lasting error and tryal ). I hope I will find in this forum useful advice and maybe in the future I can give advice too.
