Hello Linux world. I come in peace.
Just installed my first Linux distribution (Ubuntu). Happy to use it and getting my hands dirty. Buddy of minetold me it's "Linux 101 for beginners" and once I play around with this to go to RedHat. Happy with it after 24 hours. But one problem, (wrong thread? if so sorry) I just complete took all windows off the computer, single partition. It seems ubuntu won't read my cdrom software. Do I need to install a driver or anything like that? It recognizes the disc in the tray but clicking .exe and .ini files does nothing. Specifically trying to install Counter Strike and if possible my router software for wireless, (linksys).
Again glad to be a part of the community and if I could possibly get any help on this issue, that'd be greatly appreciated.
