can i do web apps for my BE degree final year project

i am from India.. and i am a III year computer science enginnering student... i am interested in doing Webapps using LAMP architecture.
but can i submit a web app for my final year project...?

please think again if you really want to trust an answer from an Internet forum for things that influence the fate of your degree.

What if I answer "Yes" and you will find you your degree denied because I was wrong? Aren't there any mentors on your school who can give authoritative advice?

I totally agree with GNU-Fan. Ask your professors/mentors what project they want. If they agree with a web-app, post again to ask about applications and IDEs you can use for the project you were assigned. And then ask your professor AGAIN, if he agrees with the proposals you got from the forum.
