    Noob alert

    Hi everyone,
I'm looking to setup a network; a combination of not being able to find the version of windows I wanted and virtually every one of my computer savy friends telling me to use Linux, I decided to join a Linux forum to ask the myriad of questions that will arise since I know almost nothing about Linux.
Hopefully I won't annoy you guys too much.

No one of of knew anything about Linux at one point or another. We all have to start somewhere. Linux has some very powerful networking capabilities. It's not always easy, specially coming from a Windows environment. But it's rewarding

    Yes, welcome to the forums!

We will help you anytime you ask. But there is nothing like someone actually showing you what to do. See if your Linux friends can assist you, it will shorten the learning curve.

And most of all, Have Fun!
