I'm almost certain I've seen you around somewhere before...

Welcome to the forums. I have been in other forums where I feel like an oldie, but here, in my early 40's I feel a lot younger

I like it here. I SAID I LIKE IT HERE!

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

yah, I've been around a bit

seems like a very good place to start

I have recieved a bit of good advice from the distro specific forums and will continue to haunt there, but since I am starting out with a bang, partitioning a new drive to multi boot different distros I feel comfortable here.

    Hello, and welcome aboard.

I enjoyed your writing. But by the way, you do not need to add answers every time you want to add a comment. Instead, you can directly edit your own postings and this way it will not seem as if you were talking to yourself

Well, there might be 3000 different distros, but it boils down to about 20, if not 10, distributions that really matter. It is only that everybody who replaces the default background image of the desktop and puts it back on an installer disc thinks it needs a proprietary name I think nobody should be angry at them for doing so, even if they are the only users of their distro. No reason to lose sleep over this.

actually I was really talking to myself If I can delete some of those comments as separate posts I will to save some space

and yes I am just relating what I have learned over the past week. Not to lose sleep over, I see this whole Linux thing coming along just great.

I just wonder how many of those little distro groups would add to the innovation of the better distros around. Its the open source environment and I think it's a great thing.

I just love fooling around with this stuff. I had fun back in the 95 days just simply installing and uninstalling things and redoing my harddrive and all. Now my work is cut out for me but its fun.

I really think that more should get involved with Linux, but unfortunately no one has time. They pay the piper one way ($)or another (time) As for me I consider it an investment.
