    Smile Sorry for the delay...

You all probably know the guy who decided to go Linux in hopes of escaping the bonds of an overly restrictive OS in Windows Enter-Your-Crappy-Version-Here.

    I am absolutely THAT guy.

Since swapping out my Vista HP for Ubuntu Hardy, I've enjoyed computing like I used to when I was a kid. Never before have I been happier than now to see the command prompt! Counting only a few hardware issues I have yet to resolve, I can see no good reason to ever again spend a C-note on an operating system when that same money can go for a much more rewarding hardware upgrade.

About me; name is Bob Dye, age 29, location Eagle River, Wisconsin USA, occupation Carpenter, married with one son(born yesterday WOO-HOO!)....and incredibly stoked to be here!

Excellent! Now you'll have something to focus on between all the didey changes and 3am feedings. Ah, but it's a splendid torture you endure.

Look forward to seeing you around the boards.

...not so well, I'm afraid, but then again I expected that! Daddy is a geek in the hardcore, and I'm sure that little Harry will be too, since I.T. is so much more interlaced than it was when I grew up. With any luck, he'll have the skill sets to tear down and rebuild an x86 blindfolded by the time he's 5!!!
