    Hello and thank you

Hi all, new here. Ive been using linux for 2 weeks now. Ive been through
about 6 distros, although each one was very nice I think Im settling with
Mepis.(detects my wifi). Been reading the posts, which has helped enormously. Its been challenging and enjoyable. I ve been trying to avoid the console, the command line interface seems kinda daunting.
However.... I suspect it will become my friend in the coming
    weeks. Thank you all.

Hi, welcome to the forums and I'm glad to hear you have pursued diff. options.
The console is the key but I think but it is getting easier as time goes on, probably, maybe with the window managers now.
