Question about UPSs
Well I've decided to move my computer into the same room as another, and now I have a problem of when I turn my computer on, it resets the other one. I'm trying to buy a UPS for each computer, but I know nothing about them, and I don't want to buy something that wont cut it. Does anyone know of a (free) online calculator or tool that can help me decide what kind of power I need.
Just FYI in case someone wants specs, I'd like to be able to have protection up to the maximum rating for my PSU's so that if I upgrade my system I'm good. In the smaller computer, it has a 430 watt, but I just replaced the old 350 watt, and I don't intend to upgrade or add to that computer. my other has a 1000 watt PSU.
I don't care much about stuff like working long in a power outage, graceful shutdowns would be nice, but i'm at my computer whenever I use it, so i don't need automated, and I don't need it to powering my monitors, I just want something to stop the restarts.
ThanksNew to the internet, technical forums, or the hacker / open source community??
