OpenSolaris...yay or nay?
Hey, I know there's a big debate between Linux and OpenSolaris, but I've used both (a limited amount) and they both seem similar and stable. What are everyone's feelings/opinions about OpenSolaris, and the debate surrounding it? Thanks!

There's no debate from my side of the network. It's my personal opinion that everyone should use whatever they like and feel comfortable with, even if that is Windows.
I'm exceedingly glad that OpenSolaris is out there as an option for anyone that wants to use it.

I see no debate either. I've used Linux and Solaris and I prefer Linux. Mostly I prefer the larger support and development community around Linux and the GPL license used by most Linux projects.

I prefer Linux although I have also used Solaris/Opensolaris. I find many things easier to do in Linux and the hardware support is better.
