Please give me your opinion!
I found out Ubuntu is workable on intel macs. So I decided to give the live CD a shot on my imac and it worked real sweet. ATI graphics worked smooth and everything went nice. I already have a P4 with Linux that I mess with and everything works pretty nice. Not feeling like setting up the isight and missing my OSX a little I reinstalled OSX.
Heres my dilemma. I just bought a 1TB externel WD mybook hard drive for like 130$. I found out it's too easy to take it out of it's enclosed case and use it as an internel drive. I stubbled over the guide for the imac to replace the hard drive.
Now I can't decide, what do you guys think???
Imac + Internal 1TB HD + OSX
Imac + Internal 1TB HD + Linux
Imac + Externel 1TB HD + OSX and use the externel for music and stuff
I don't wanna do externel with Linux cos I'll need a lot more room (I'm a bit of an app junky plus all my media I like to keep) But externel w/ macs not bad for music, movies and whatever. I got a 160 gb mac drive but formatted and w osx it shrinks down to about 140.
Having the duo core imac and linux though with a 1TB hard drive sounds sick though but I can do quite a bit with OSX and it was obviously just made for that CPU...
ahhhh It's been hard for days to sleep constantly thinking about which possibility I should go with... So what do you guys think? I need some opinions I'm going crazy.

Hi,
My brother uses almost all external drives, about the only thing loaded on an internal drive is the OS to boot and the browser. He has his media and backups on these external drives and has no problems.
I would keep it like this as well - he has played with all sorts of options and for stability runs it like this now.
