linux small business solution master mind group
Hello.
I am interested in formulating a linux small business solution with Linux based server, workstation, and applications that rivals or surpasses what MS Small Business Server offers the typical small business. Anyone want to be a part of a 'master mind' group for this? The solution would offer such services as file server, print server, fax server, corporate email solution, etc.
Thank you,
Jeff

Do you already have something to go on?
Like a plan?
Or concept even?

Currently, just brainstorming. I have been working with Microsoft products for years and personally have never been able to find a way to duplicate or replace them with Linux based products. I have heard of it being done but have never been able to find details of how it has been done (such as at least a list of solid products used).

Yeah, good links. Just that one concern is bandwidth. I'd easily step back to using machines that calculate CPU power in Mhz if I can get a connection calculated in Gbits. Unless you want to use additional layers like Citrix, but that is not without side effects.
Also noteworthy is that terminals can just as easily replace laptops in addition to desktops. Can't tell an OS by it's GUI
