    Lightbulb Ubuntu Brainstorm

I submitted the following idea on Ubuntu brainstorm:
The number 1 problem of new users is that they don't know how to install new programs.
So they download tar.gz files that they don't know how to use and end up formatting their PCs because they got frustrated with program installation.
I suggest to put a HUGE ICON (128x128 or 160x160 for example) of Synaptic or Add/remove programs with name "INSTALL PROGRAMS", right in the middle of the desktop. This way new users will find out how to install programs. Users who already know the process, can simply delete this icon.
You can vote for it (or against it) here.
