Just a newb to the linuxforums. I won't mention who to blame for my presence. I've been involved with Linux for around 10 years now, so I guess I'm a newb in the Linux world as well, just not as new as a lot of others. I've used several distros. I started with slackware, moved on to mandrake (jumped ship well before mandriva) and now I'm on debian/ubuntu. I've twiddled with plenty of others, including CRUX, gentoo, archlinux, redhat/centos/fedora. Someone here may tell you I'm a guru, don't believe him!

A little bit more about me: I work for a large webhosting company as a team lead in the datacenter. I've been there for a little over a year and love the amount of freedom I have in my job. I've worked for other webhosting companies in the past, as well as a VoIP company, and other tech-related companies. My jobs have ranged from helldesk, to network administrator (glorified sysadmin in this case) and everything in between.

I have a ton of personal hobbies, and have always been my own mechanic. My current 'hobby' that takes up most of my time is my 2004 Honda 919 (motorcycle.) I'm the 3rd owner and the previous owners didn't take the best care of it. Between the paint, electrical, and lack of mod's I've got my work cut out for me. But, I'm not here for that kind of chat! As I said I have a lot of interests, but I don't have time/money for all of them. A short list: frisbee golf, carving, painting, drawing, sculpture, hacky sack, rollerblading, BMX, mountain biking, cooking, beer, homebrew beer, rum, and last but not least my girlfriend.
