    Hello Linux Forums

    Hi all,

I'm a rather diverse guy. Currently I run Ruby on Rails (mongrel) on an Ubuntu Server (apache) to host all my various website relating to my interests. I am actively learning more about Linux, and even more about Solaris/OpenSolaris, which is actually pretty interesting. Other than that, I'm involved in a bunch of activities: see my signature. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome Ryan, glad to have you

It's a fascinating world on this side, but the most amazing thing to me is that its gone from being my hobby OS a few years ago to the only OS I run on all my machines and to just get the work done.

I've been meaning to try the latest opensolaris, have you run the new one yet?

I believe I installed the 2008.05 version, but then did a 'pkg image-update', which should mean I'm in the latest version. I'm trying to get xVM working (considering I don't know most of the commands in OpenSolaris, it's quite the journey) so that I can have a few fully virtualized server. One for my websites, one for facebook applications, and one for something else, at the very least. Hopefully I don't have network issues like I did with ubuntu.
