Greetings from ATX
Hello one and all from Austin, live music capital of the great state of Texas!
I am a systems administrator for an EMS Solutions company named Site Controls LLC. We have a ton of open source projects currently in production and in development, so having access to everyone's brain, and being able to hopefully enlighten someone who is facing a challenge I have overcome is a theater I love to act in.
I am currently having some trouble with DSL linux and iptables logging so look for some frustrated caffeine and deadline induced post concerning such here in the near future
. I hope to trouble shoot problems and enjoy nerdy cometary with everyone! and oh yes I also enjoy long walks on the beach and soft fluffy pillow

Welcome to Linuxforums!

What happened to "Live Music Capital of the World"? Have things changed that much?
I have many fond memories of Austin and the surrounding area. I reluctantly left six years ago, to escape the soul-crushing machinations of an evil demon-heifer-witch, spawn-of-satan, slayer-of-hope, destroyer of all things good and wholesome, carniverous joy assassin from the planet Psychotica. Definitely not an 'Austin person'.
I'm doing much better now, but I miss Austin very much. I don't think there's a single street or alleyway there that doesn't hold some happy or humorous memory. So many good times... So many good friends. So many moments of inspired lunacy. Yeah... I'm homesick.
I checked your website. Is it accurate to surmise that consulting, implementation & monitoring are your niche?

lol no its still capital of the world just didn't want to rub it in to bad on a first post, so I narrowed down the geography.

That is correct, its been an exciting ride since I got on board, and the company is full of really smart folks working towards some really innovative and awesome solutions for energy management. I never realized how much power business's consume, or how much gets wasted.
I just moved here about 6mths ago and other than adjusting to big city traffic its been a blast. It was my party town for years so it was only a matter of time before I was pulled in by the sweet siren sounds of 6th street....
