Greetings
Hey all. I just registered here a couple days ago. Although I've tinkered with Linux in past, it's only recently that I've moved from Windows to Linux. So I'm a newbie but very keen to learn linux. I've got myself books on Bash and been playing around with the terminal. My first impressions are Wow! You have so much freedom with linux. Love that you can customise things to your preferences. The distro I'm using is Mandriva Spring 2008.
Now about me. I'm 31, probably alot older than most newbies, and am a web developer. I do alot of scripting but see myself more as a high-level language programmer. I did a lot of work with Java when at uni and some C, C++ stuff. I by no means think I'm brilliant at it but love starting with blank screen and ending up with a running application.
So that's a little about me. I hope to be of use here and to find it useful as well.
