What's the deal? Did Shuttleworth start iMagicOS?
Do you have a link?

woah...there are some harsh words being thrown around in those threads. also, it seems unlikely that shuttleworth would be saying some of those things...but then again, Ubuntu is the next Windows, right

I must be missing something as I can't for the life of me see what imagicos has to do with Mark Shuttleworth

Their forum has a lot of names from linspire/freespire posting on there though. More likely to be someone from their that's put this together.

Hello,
might it be possible that this whole thing is actually a hoax?
Browsing casually through the forums and their "end user license agreement", this stuff seems to negate everything the GNU/Linux community stands for.
I most certainly hope this will not be "The future of Linux".Debian GNU/Linux -- You know you want it.

I read back over the thread...I don't think that's Mark Shuttleworth at all. I noticed one of the posters made a comment about Mark Shuttleworth...perhaps he was picked up wrong?

The guy I was talking to on those forums said that the reason he was so mad was because he was sick of being criticized. He told me the FOSS forums were saying that what he did broke the GPL license for Linux, and possible Ubuntu as well. Then he told me the non-FOSS forums were calling the OS a scam. So I don't find it a coincidence at all that you had similar assumptions after reading the end user license agreement, GNU-Fan.
You might be right. If you saw his first reply to me on those forums, all he asked me was, "Does the name Mark Shuttleworth ring a bell to you?" I guess I just took that to mean that it was him. Plus, when I referred to him as that in another post, he did nothing to correct me. So I think you are right, BigTR.
BTW- the user on the Ubuntu Forums is luvubui.
EDIT: That thread on the Ubuntu Forums has been closed. I can only imagine that it is just a matter of time until he shows up here. Oh hell, I hope not.Using Linux since June 2007

It's common on all linux forums. Troll-Tards know that linux zealots are easy targets when it comes to having fun with their belief structure and principles. When the fake Steve Jobs got discovered, some mental midget registered "SteveBallmer" on a fedora forum I used to frequent, posting the most obvious of bait that the community snapped up like candy.
If you're not smart enough to be productive, I guess it's a great way to kill time.Aloof linux user #whatever.
I tested off the charts for MENSA. Unfortunately, it was off the wrong end of the chart.
