I'm back working on Web Linux, and maybe there is going to be a home directory where you can actually store files, however, I will ask Darkrose (she started the project) that when that point comes, every user will get a file in their home directory with:

"WebLinux is meant to give you a feeling of the real system, you can store your files here, but please note that the system is not designed for that purpose."

or something like that. If that feature will ever work.

Well of course we'll have full on SSL.... I don't trust anyone either.
Sounds good. I have tried WebLinux but I thought it was a fake. It probably is...?
I'm not looking to make the Linux part on the web, just the GUI bit...

Web Linux is designed as a Linux system in a browser. It's not written with the same purpose in mind as your system. We had in mind to make a system that would run on your web-browser, and would give you the feeling of the Linux OS. You have in mind to make a GUI for your system, which it would load from the web, or from it's own apache server. Those are two different ideas, however the solution is somewhat similar in the way that they're both interfaces to a system written in HTML.
