    Hello Everybody

My first post here. Looks like a very nice and friendly group of people.

I don't have Linux installed yet, still waiting for my bro in California to send me a copy because there's a bandwidth cap here in Lebanon (my account is at 3GB/month).

I'll be installing Linux Fedora 10 on a Dell Laptop - Inspiron 1521 so any preparation advice - regarding repartitioning the hard drive and taking care of the drivers - would be awesome.

    Cheers,
    Meer.

    Welcome to the forums, meer!

The installer will pretty much handle the partitioning for you, if you want. Or you can do it manually. Most drivers are already included with the kernel, but there are a few proprietary drivers that you might need, depending on your hardware.

You can get a few good Fedora Guides with a quick google of the same.

Hope Linux goes well and you have fun with it.

Thanks, will Google and look into those guides.

I'm sure it'll be better than Vista

    Cheers.
