Remember In the old days when the hardest holiday gift was building a bike or piece of furniture?
I am sure I am leaving something out, but now it seems you have to know how to:

    redboot
    tftpboot
    burn a boot rom
    floppy boot bios updates
    flash firmware updates
    netxfer thin clients
    pxeboot
    netboot
    bootcamp
    aoe ata over ethernet
    iscsi
    etherboot
    burn a boot cd
    burn a boot usb stick
    boot virtual machines
    bootxc
    oompile a kernal to boot
solder or desolder a part to boot faster or better.

Or just find the power button to boot
