Ok. So, you are either 1.9176484 years old, or 191.76484. In either case, you are definitely one for the record books! If the former, then you are the smartest 2 year-old in the world, or the latter then you are the oldest fart in the world! Congratulations, in either case!
Oh, you mean that you screwed up the numbers in the decimal part of your age? Not the decimal place itself? Doh! Silly me!

I'll be 14 a month after high school starts this fall. I hope 14 will be as awesome as 13 has been!

I remember (sort of) when I was 14. I spent the summer doing a year of geometry and french so I could spend the next year at a top private school in England. Spent my spare time that summer when I wasn't hitting the books either playing tennis or pinball. Then I took the train to NYC to catch the SS France on it's second cross-atlantic voyage (it still had that new-car/boat smell) and spent 5 days partying until we arrived in Southampton. A most interesting year - got to spend xmas driving around Italy, and 3 weeks over spring break in Paris! Was 15 then - ah, what an experience for the impressionable young feller that I was!
Anyway Amy, do enjoy these years of your youth. They evaporate all too quickly! And most of all, don't be in TOO much a hurry to grow up!
P.S. My fiddle case still has the luggage sticker from the QE2 that I took for the return voyage. Another 5 days (unchaperoned that time) of party time! Arrived in NYC totally hung-over, but happy!Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

LOL!! You talk about how awesome and memorable your unchaparoned 5-day party was, and then tell me what I shouldn't do? Ha!

Only kidding, only kidding!! I know you said so because you care. I think it's sweet!! Hugs, you guys! <3

Hey! I never said what you SHOULDN'T do, except perhaps the bit about not growing up too fast. Just don't be in too big a hurry to be an "adult" - it's a lot less "cool" than it's made out to be...
. In any case, back when I was 15, things were a lot less restricting, at least in europe. I could go into a pub in England and get a beer with my lunch without any problems, and have wine with dinner in France and Italy and no one would raise an eyebrow. At sea, in international waters, back then if you could reach the bar I think you would be served - and I did look old for my age. I was already singing baritone and shaved semi-regularly. I don't think I had a 5 o'clock shadow - more like a wednesday shadow.

You couldn't pay me to be 14 again. Those were definitely not the best years of my life. Seems in retrospect like it should have been, growing up in Seattle at the height of the grunge movement and all, but not so much. My 20s, now those were good.

You didn't like being 14? I think it's going to be wonderful, going to high school for the first time and all. I'm scared of adulthood when it gets here. I really like my life just the way it is and I don't want it to change, but I know it's coming. So no worries about growing up too fast! I wish I could slow it down. Change is scary! Even for a girl who wasn't afraid to change from Vista to Ubuntu, lol.

Strangely, it turns out being a shy dorky atheist with an openly gay dad, who spent his free time playing chess or the trumpet, did not mesh well with the social fabric of a suburban middle class school. On the plus side, I did go to school with Senator Patty Murray's son, and he was a pretty cool guy. Played the drums.
