My Million Dollar Idea

Inspired by the fellow that made the million dollar homepage The Million Dollar Homepage - Own a piece of internet history!, I was thinking of ideas to get money off this here internet.

I came up with the idea of the million dollar youtube video ™. Opposed to selling pixels as ad space, like the million dollar home page, I will be selling frames of video. There are 30 frames per second (well, 29.97) and they will be available in 15 frame blocks, giving a half second of time in the youtube video for advertising or whatever. You can buy as many blocks as you like, and can also include audio.

Oh yeah, the videos will be made 100% in linux. Cinelerra doing the brunt of the work.

Nice way to make money using Linux. though people like me are very unlikely to look at it, for I'm not really interested in adverts. If I want something, I look for it. I look for reviews for it. I'm never going to go and buy something that is on the top of someone's web page. That's why my pages will always remain ad-free. Of course, sponsors don't count... it's those annoying banners that snnoy me. Good job I have AdBlock Plus.
