Last night I bought The Matrix on BluRay. It's not new (except that now it's available by itself without those ridiculous sequels), but it's still a great movie....

Lord of the Rings III: Return of the King extended edition
I know its not new but i just saw it. its like 3 times longer then the normal version, and its a completely different movie when you watch it.
You probably wont like this version unless you LOVE lord of the rings, becuase the theatrical version just has action, this has all the dialogue and storyline that they took out. so you might get bored if your just lookin for an action movie.

you can watch this version online if you have a netflix account.

I bought the extended version on all three of the LOTR movies and gave all the theatrical versions away because there is no comparison.

Well I watched Slumdog Millionaire and because of my age I was taken on an emotional roller coaster ride. It is a very well made film but I was drained by the time it ended.

You know, the more I think about it, LOTR has to be one of my top 3 movie series/trilogy along with Star Wars and Harry Potter

I didn't find it life-changing by any means, but it was a solid movie.

TechieMoe, I sort of recoiled when the boy was blinded to enhance his begging potential and when the mother was killed. The movie, at times, reminded me of the movie City of God. It is a well made movie.

That one scene definitely stands out. The rest of the movie is almost a light-hearted comedy in comparison. That scene aside, I enjoyed the movie. Although I must admit the wife and I were rather confused by the choreographed dance number in the end. I've been told that's a Bollywood convention.

I do not have any knowledge of why the dance scene was put in at the end of the movie. I would like to offer a theory though. At the end of Jackie Chan movies there are scenes where the stunts have gone wrong and they are pretty comical. It serves as a reminder that the movie is just a movie and not really a fact of life.

I think the dance scene at the end of Slumdog Millionaire is also a attempt to separate the movie from real life in India. I could very well be very wrong in my thinking; but that is what I got from the dance scene at the end.
