Who's hiring?
I'm looking for a job I can start in June, hopefully involving Linux and maybe web sites or sysadmin, or tech support if I have to. I hear there's a gap in the market for those sorts of people around my age (17).
So who's hiring around this time? I have had very bad luck finding jobs for myself. Can anyone help me? E.g. suggest people that hire people like me, or even hire me yourselves... haha I wish.
Bear in mind, I'm in South West England... and though I could move around by then, I'd rather telecommute, if it's all the same to (whoever).
Cheers
Dan

You can check the LinuxForums Job Board to see who's hiring if you haven't done so already.
Edit: oops... sorry, just noticed you are from the UK, so it might not help you much unless you want to relocate to the USA.oz

Nope, haven't got enough to migrate...
Any others applicable in the UK (or indeed available to telecommute)?

Not Linux focused, but it might be worth looking at the British Computer Society's job site, I always tell people it is easier to get another job than it is is to get a job.:
Home - BCSrecruit.com for IT Jobs
and as an adjunct to that, the BCS group on Linkedin was having a discussion recently about agencies compared to graduate recruitment for getting a first job. The overall sense of the thread was that an agency was definitely worth talking to.
I can't really confirm these, my first job was with an outfit I found in the paper and my next job was found by word of mouth.
A bit of professional networking might do you some good too. The BCS hold talks and suchlike all over the country so you may want to go along to a branch meeting. The talks are usually free even for non-members, and for me at least have been worthwhile in their own right.

To be good, you must first be bad. "Newbie" is a rank, not a slight.
