Happy Year of the OX, everyone!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! It is the year of the OX or if you prefer the Buffalo.
It is a number 9 fire year until Feb. 13, 2010. It is a year destined for calamities and upheavals both from humans and mother nature. It is said that however your day went today it sets the overall trend of how your year is going to be. I hope you had a nice day.

    Thanks Rokytnji!!

I supprised a lot of people on Staten Island yesterday with a card and envelope containing a brand new Martin Van Buren gold dollar coin to wish them health and prosperity for the year.

Happy Chinese New Year!!! On the other hand, my day yesterday was pretty bad, so hopefully it won't be a sad Chinese new year!

I'm sorry to hear that, Aluminumspleen. Whatever transpired to make the day rough for you are the things you have to try to avoid getting yourself into until Feb. 13, 2010.

A woman I tried to give a card to on Monday was out sick from work. When i saw her Tuesday I gave her a coin while she told me of her families illnesses. Later I brought her a tin of pu-erh tea and advised her to stir her thera-flu into it. I also showed her some accupressure points to massage on her sick son. Today she was feeling better.

Some people are just destined to have a bad year: for others this may be a pretty good year for them.

You know I kind of hope I don't spend the rest of the year like the other day.....snowed in and alone. But I guess the other part of that is that I was warm, comfortable....and NO STRESS! Yeah that's the way I will look at it...lol
