    Musing on bandwidth

Today I decided to play with the latest version of Novell's SLED, 10-sp2. Not surprisingly it's pretty much the same as 10 from several years ago, so it won't be getting a rant. However when I went to download the DVD I was shocked at the transfer rates I got. I kid you not, my download topped out at 12MB/s. That's MEGAbytes per second. It took me less than ten minutes to download a 4GB disc image. I may not care for their product but damn Novell has some nice servers.

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.
