"...no sir. Sorry sir. The warranty clearly states it does not apply to mouses, keyboards and batteries of portable computers. Sorry sir. No sir, you cannot try to fix it yourself, or your warranty will be void."

    I'm sorry you got mugged.

You should mention the vendor by name, so others can stay away from them.

That argument is not valid. Limited warranty goes for: [mouses] , [keyboards] , and [batteries of portable computers].
It does not state [mouses of portable computers].
You should talk to consumer TV-programs as 'Radar' or 'Kassa'. I bet you'll have a new netbook in notime.
    Cheer up.

Ehm, maybe you are right Charles... I didn't receive a personal response, just a list of what was included in the warranty and how to (how do you say that) follow the procedure. It had a list of what was *not* included, and what you *couldn't* do yourself.

    Still, the list is:
NL: toetsenborden, muizen en accu's van draagbare computers
EN: keyboards, mice and batteries of portable computers

In my book, that means the list applies like this:.
[keyboards, mice and batteries] of portable computers

But maybe I was jumping to conclusions here and I'm sorry. I've calmed down a bit, and I've read it again. I still think it's very ambiguous, the whole piece of writing was very unclear in my eyes. Still haven't figured out who has to pay for shipping for example. I'll call them, they don't really want that but I'll do it anyway. I think that's better.

I would read that as keyboards, mice and [batteries of portable computers] however if it is the touchpad that is broken that would be an integral part.

Yeah yeah yeah I made an ass out of myself :shame:

lol you know those pointy hats that say "ass" (=donkey), that presumably in older days you had to wear as a punishment for making mistakes at school? Well, if you use the search engine of your choice for a funny picture of that, so to lighten the mood *ahum* it seems the term "ass" is used to label a whole wide range of different topics of photography and not all of them are equally suitable for children or people of a prudish disposition

No I didn't. Just googled for some ass-pictures as you suggested and this came up: someones avatar at my-space. Well it should not be too offending for prude people anyway, there were other pics as well.

Edit: So now this avatar goes with all your intelligent remarks for the past two years? Don Quixote suited you better!
