Smile Hi! My name is Ralu!

    Hello!

I'm Ralu and I just joined this forum. I'm glad I did so, because I sometimes have questions regarding Linux. In the last 24 hours, I had Debian 5, Fedora 10, Suse 10 and Ubuntu 8.10 installed on my computer and now I remained at Suse 11.1. The reason I installed so many distributions is that my sound driver doesn't work on any of it From what I saw, the system has the driver installed, it said it's working and it is working, but the volume is very very low (imagine that, to hear just some whispers, I have to connect to my computer the loudspeakers and their volume is maximum!). So, if anyone had this problem, I could really use some help...

Nice to meet u everyone! See ya!

Hi Ralu, welcome to the forums.

For your sound issue you could try opening a terminal and then using the command
    Code:
    alsamixer
Using the arrow keys make sure that Master and PCM are turned up. Use the q key to quit

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

Thanks, but I already tried that... It didn't work... Thank you anyway!
