New To Forum
Hi Everyone. New to the forum but not new to linux. I believe myself to be a competent Linux user and when it comes to administration I know enough to get me in trouble when I start experimenting with settings
and (for the most part) recovering from the eventual crash
I am not going to sugar coat it. I am here because most linux communities centered around only one distro (ubuntu and PCLinuxOS, I am looking in your general direction) frown upon actually learning the operating system and installing any software they don't "approve" of. And from the many threads on this forum that have read I know you guys are not like that. I can not count the number of times the wisdom on this forum has saved my setup from a format/reinstall.
I know there is so much more for me to learn. I hope you will all allow me to learn from your combined experience and tolerate the occasional stupid question.

Welcome. There are no stupid questions, only stupid T-shirts that people sell for way too much money at conventions... but I'm not bitter, really.

Trust me, I will be. I got enough problems to fix with my current system to keep me here a while lol
