    Hi,
I am taking a course on operating systems. They cover all OS, Linux is one. I downloaded Fedora 10 and have played with it a little. I've worked with computers since way back in the CP/M days, with 8 bit processors and 1Mhz clock speeds. But had never tried Linux.

Oh, I did install Fedora 10 on a PC that originally had Windows 98 on it. I was a little dissapointed to find it fails to play regular music CDs using RhythmBox. In the GUI mode the OS shows all 10 tracks. When I run Rhythmbox, it shows only one and fails to play. The sound tests seem to work, but not very loud.

When I try SoundJuicer the tracks play, but very 'jerky' like trying to play a video from the Internet with a slow connection.

I'm just beginning, Please go easy on me.
