    MP4 audio codec needed

I'm encountering a problem: more and more videos on YouTube and other sites are encoded into .MP4 format, with an audio codec Linux cannot decode. It is AAC 2.0, and no media player can play it. I've all available codecs installed, faac, faad, gstreams, mplayer... But none of them works. There's a workaround, I use to save the audio channel with TransKode and then to recreate the entire video with the saved audio. This solution has a serious problem: the video is not in sync with audio. I need something better. Is there any other?
If you need a CD/DVD catalogizer, give a try to my program:

Generally, non-open codecs are not included on a Linux install CD to avoid legal issues. Most distros have an easy way to download in install the missing codecs.

What distro are you using? Different ones have different ways of doing this.

For example, in Ubuntu, you need to install the package "ubuntu-restricted-extras". In SuSE, add a "Packman" repository, then install the package W32Codecs, and maybe anything else you can find (if you install VLC or MPlayer, usually all available related codecs are selected and installed as recommended dependencies).

It also doesn't hurt to upgrade to Adobe Flash 10 direct from their web site.
