Newbie question about RHEL licensing and options
I'm new to RHEL and commercial Linux, so I'm not sure if my questions make sense.
I want to buy a laptop that's preinstalled with "RHEL Desktop Basic Edition, 1 yr subscription, media included."
Since it's not "RHEL Server", does this really mean I can't install servers for BIND, SMTP, httpd, etc? Or is it that I just won't get support or updates, etc? Can I run Xen and VM's even if I don't have the "Multi-OS" option

Hello and Welcome!
While I've never ran RHEL, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to install your own server apps as you see fit. But I think you may be right in that you may not get support for those services.
Personally, I would contact the vendor/customer support to get a definite answer.Jay
