    When you say you "installed it inside windows", do you mean you used Wubi to install Ubuntu? I've never used wubi but this guide should help: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide#Uninstallation

    Rebooting doesn't give an option to use Windoze? When my computer boots, I get a screen that gives that option. Windoze is the default, With no response in 15 seconds, XP boots. I don't see why Vista would be any different. What distro did you install?

    You need somebody to help you out with edting GRUB, I presume. I have no experience in that area, yet. However, I need to learn how to do just that.

    Now, is there anyone that can chime in and help Unforgiven2644?

    Unforgiven, am I correct in assuming that you can still boot up to Ubuntu? If so, then graphicks is right... you need some GRUB fixin'!

    What is the output of
    fdisk -l
    cat /boot/grub/grub.conf

    Execute this
    Code:
    sudo fdisk -l
    Post output here.
    * Its small L in fdisk -l.

    Post the contents of /boot/grub/menu.lst file too.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
