about the new release of kernel 2.6.29

Hello guys! I want to talk about the new release of the kernel 2.6.29 . I didn`t tried yet, i saw the announce here.

I see that Linus Torvalds replace the penguin tux temporary, i understand why, but what he is trying to do, slowly change the penguin tux logo with that? I personally don`t like that logo (it`s much beautiful the penguin tux ) .

Another think i saw is when Btrfs will be stable, it will definitely replace the Ext filesystem! What do you think about this? Did someone tried the EXT4 filesystem? I said when i have some time i will try it but i was so busy. If someone tried please tell me, is there a performant issue between ext3 and ext4? I mean is there a "visible" change between those two?

    Cheers!

I haven't tried ext4 yet, but all over the WEB everyone is reporting that with ext4,
boot time is about 10 seconds faster and fsckh is multiple times faster.
I'll wait 6 months for any bugs to be fixed and then I 'll upgrade my disks to ext4.

I have been using 2.6.29 and ext4 on my main desktop, and no problems with it so far.

Ext4 is a lot faster than ext3, and 2.6.29 is no different than 2.6.28 for me.
