    Question New here

    Hello all,

I am new here and also very new to Linux. I have alot of experiences with Window but...no matter how many time I repair it..the rain still pours down when it rains... which led me here...

Anyhow, can someone recommend a version for me? I am currently running XP Pro?
    Any tips...hints?

    Thank You

    Hi knight414

Welcome to Linux and the Linux Forums

There are lots of distributions that you can try and everyone has their favourites (Personally I like Ubuntu at the moment). The best thing to do is just give a few a go. Most will allow you to run them from the CD (look for Live CD) so you can test the distribution out before installing it.

As Live CDs are running an operating system it will be slow so bear that in mind when testing.
