I read the original book on " Know Your Enemy". It was a good book as to the insights, motives, methods, and what a true black hat is like. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in the learning about the people behind the hats.

    Per the book:

Know Your Enemy is a cumulation of two years of research by the Honeynet Project. Everything we have learned and how we learned it is explained here. We go into detail how Honeynets work, how we used them to gain intelligence on the enemy, and what we learned based on that intelligence. Almost all team members contributed to this book, combining their experience and expertise.
Bought mine used for $10 I try to alway buy used if possble.

Also warning for anyone interesting in "Hacking Exposed" is now in its fourth edtion. Online retailers cough ***Amazon**** and other book chains are dumping the third edition at full price. Which is the same price as the fouth edition which is already at the stores.
