Switching to Trackball Wheel Mouse
I've been using standard optical and laser mice for years now but have decided to try a Logitech Trackball Wheel Mouse to see how that goes. If I can adapt to moving the cursor with the thumb, these things look like they'd be really comfortable to work with.
Have any of you used them, and if so, where you able to adapt easily enough?oz

I've never used a trackball but I have me one of these and it took a day and a few goes with Sauerbraten to adapt

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

Yeah, I saw one of those on eBay the other day and thought it looked very interesting. I've never tried one but would like to see how they feel the first time I run across one in a computer store.
I figure it might take a week or more to adapt to the trackball, as well.oz

I used a Logitech trackball (and I still have it) when I had this Toshiba laptop, some 10 years ago. I remember getting used to it very fast.
There was no wheel
on that one though and that stopped me from using it.

Maybe I'm just the odd one out here. I tried using trackball mice a few times. Never got used to it. Some folks I know swear by them... to me they just feel weird.

I'm not sure that I'll be able to adapt either, but it will be fun to find out.
