Many years age my grandson and I were drinking our Jolt sodas and belching when his mother entered the room and informed us that we were disgusting. The link below reminded me of that:

In some cultures (Japan for instance) it's considered a compliment to the cook to belch after a meal.

I wasn't sure that it would work, but this does seem to stop the belching issue, at least for me.

Hah, that reminds me my sister uses this stuff. One time she offered it to me because I had gas really bad, well when I read the label it said "Beano- Up your Gas". I refused to take it because I thought she was trying to give me something to increase my gas problem.
But I have since discovered that I Like Belching and don't even get me started on farting,,,,Man that's some fun.
I have never understood why anyone would think that passing gas and belching is considered rude/gross. It's a natural bodily function and a great conversation starter!

It is good to enjoy a good belch as far as I am concerned. I have learned that there are a lot of things that males do that females tend to dislike. I did not say anything to my daughter-in-law at the time. I was in her house so I kept my mouth shut and just smiled.

I really hate it when the belch is accompanied by a bit of recently consumed food and it wants to hang in your throat, especially if it was something really spicy, such as Mexican food.
