    I'd recommend a PC with Windows because
    1) It's much much cheaper;
    2) When you come to your senses and want to move to linux, you won't have unneccesarily spent $2000 on your machine.

    I'm with reed9. When you buy an Apple, you pay for a ton of software that you will probably never use, and expensive hardware that doesn't necessarily preform any better than a computer that costs half as much with a linux system.
