Ah! Waiting for the paint to dry are we? At least with RAID-5 you can still use the drive(s) while it works, though slowly.

You should be bit more specific on the problem,
do you have raid partitions required for RAID 5 array?

mdadm --manage --add /dev/md0 -a /dev/cciss/c0d1p1
similarly for other devices
from cat /proc/mdstat
There ends the reconstruction
Thanks for your replies this week i finished alot of things and shall i post it here??
like lamp from source, installing oracle and compiling php with oracle support and some more stuff.
it was a nice little challenge to do this n to teach my colleagues here

The matches are getting interesting now and I will not miss any match from now on. Today match is between deccan chargers and mumbai Indians. Lets c who wins this. You have the tie that good, I too have 2 medals one for 100 m sprint and second 22.5 kms Bangalore International marathon.
heyy I was installing open NMS in my RH 5.2 , yum install and I was not able to start opennms it gave me service dhcpd error.I've searched the web but there seems not much info about opennms with rhel 5.2 , I'll try to finish it tomorrow i guess

That was the error , I thought dhcpd was running, i stopped it but the conf file was not set . I edited the service-configuration.xml the dhcp service part and it startted
It's working great now
