hello guyz!
if anyone has had some experience on dummy terminals using the XDMCP (what else?) in their network, with at least 50++ of terminals in a single LAN, lemme know please.
don't want the configurations. i just want to know how fast the X terminals are going.. .like if there's some significant lag as to annoy the user while doing his/her work, and what you did to correct this.. .and some of the specs of your machine if possible
i've read quite a few articles about this and the authors were saying that even with old hardware this setup is ok as the client machine's speed is irrelevant. kinda hard to believe considering that X is one of the slowest parts of Linux.
thanks everyone!
