1. Thanks for the link/correction. Newbs it is, not noobs, unless they really are one!
2. Everyone's a retard in some area. Just ask my wife! But you are correct, it is a degrading term, and I will not use it on these forums any longer. I'm sure I can come up with something more "pithy", like "He's such a nice fellow!" - just look up the etymology of the word nice!
Of course, I need to find a term for someone like me - old and ignorant...
