I sorta think anything running compiz is inherently not lightweight. The window manager is a big part of the lightweight distro environment.

Thanx...glad to be here. Well I'm not totally sure on the diff between debian or rpm. How is "pclinux"?, or mayby puppypc? I have ran puppy before and I actually liked it, ran smooth as ice. will puppy run compiz?

Ok, I have the tipsy puppy distro...has nvidia and cf installed, initially, the driver is not in use. supposed to run (nvidia-config) did that, restarted x...but xwin will not start up untill i run xorgwizard. Than of course the xorg is written to defaults. Also no sound and emerald is there, can import a theme, but it will not change the theme.Any ideas on any of this would be great.
