Time will Tell as far as Home users go. Linux has made great strides in the server market though. Glad you are optimistic.

I fall in love with linux the first time I saw it. This is the best software I ever saw. Free update, word perfect plug in. I have not seen any virus as yet. I find what I have been looking for in a computer system.

I could be wrong, but I don't think most Linux developers think in terms of Linux ever taking over the world, and then everyone being bound by Linux the way Microsoft thinks they should be with Windows.
For that reason, I have to agree wholeheartedly with what jay said above.oz
