I agree. If it were a forums for a specific distro, I would say got for it. But as a general discussion on all things Linux, why not bring 'em on over?

o i dont want to compete at all, gosh linuxforums, org has helped me out alot in the past but i ask is it better to have one site that has a answer or several sites that have diffrent answers. well i guess that depends on who you ask

but honestly, there are so many distros, not just one its more of a help , if your good with more then one, or just know one its always good to spread that knowlege

if you can go to one site and find all the information u needed that would be nice, but that not how things are. sometimes it takes research adn that what forums are many diffrent angles of research

thank you for all the help you might bring or can offer

Well, another thing is this. I popped over to your site, and it does look fairly well put together. But you're asking the members here to subscribe or frequent your boards... yet I didn't even see a link back to LFO.

    I got redirected to http://www.linux4usb.com/forum which had a 404

    im sorry

yes it is actually my fault, i went to back up the server, using phpbb and all of a sudden boom, server goes down everything gone. this would be the second time a phpbb based forum has crashed on me so i spent the better part of sat with my friend rebuilding the site, grabbing up SMF instead, and even though it doesn't look quite like we want right now. it fairly smooth, i mean it even quicker.

so give me a bit ill have it up, i appreciate the feed back if u could check it out again maybe offer up some advise that be great

    thank you

and to the other post id love to promote linuxforums.com on my site

Another forum? May be to earn some money? Google ads, other company ads, downloads of distros at cheaper rates... technically not a bad idea...
