this is going to look off-topic but it isnt you have to read it.
when i installed fedora core 4 on my imac it will be on for just under 24 hours and what-ever enviroment i am in (kde, gnome, or comandline) it will freeze and wont work at all i am not sure as of what kernel is running on it but i am sure that or one of the pakages is the problem.
and on my pc i installed red-hat 7.2 (all i have) on it and after about 15 minutes of running the screen will go (for the lack of a better term and wanting to save time) wibbly and it freezes i can't explane it i dont know what it is doing it does it every time i install.

whts the limit
Does a Linux based system has somw time limit up to with it can run regardless of the power supply problem. I have heard a typical windows desktop has the time constraint of some 49 days and some hrs due to 32 bit register storage of time in ms.

Re: whts the limit
I highly doubt it. As one of the great features of linux is the ability to leave the system running for months and months.
