5 days off of a LiveCD - then I opened random MySpace's to see how long it would take me to crash it.

but has only had 6 days off since 28th of january(the day i got it)and has only been rebooted, over last 8 weeks...power not turned off...wow you say...not bad considering the number of power failures we have, and how long they last...i got a ups thats good for 15 minutes...and again not bad, it has 2 x pc's and 2 x nodes on it...best run i ever had is this one...normally we lose power every 2 weeks...
so anyway...well done to those that keep them going...just hope there not sittin there idle...
there are groups that love to use home pc's for research...
some are research for cancer, aids, protien folding, malaria, climate predictions, SETI, moleculor research...the list goes on....

Mu uptime stats are not particularly good as I have to switch to Windows for gaming purposes . But my university's servers have pretty good uptimes. I will post the best of them:

1: 2:55am up 98 day(s), 6:08, 50 users, load average: 3.76, 3.66, 3.70
2: 2:58am up 98 day(s), 6:54, 15 users, load average: 0.03, 0.04, 0.05

Both are Sun's Mainframe computers running SunOS 5.8.

Made me want to check mine...
Code:
09:01:10 up 55 days, 20:06, 1 user, load average: 0.13, 0.08, 0.01
Slackware 10.1 - 2.4 kernel

Would be longer but the power goes out around here any time someone sneezes. I guess I need to put it on back up power...

CentOS4.0

It would have been over 150 days but my computer needed more RAM.

That looks a lot more like the output of "date" then the one of "uptime".
