    Introduction!

    Hi, all. I'm Gossamer.

I've been running Debian for a few months now after messing with Ubuntu and a very harsh Arch installation and I'm quite happy with it. I've even wiped my PC clean of all Windows partitions and I'm not looking back.

    How are you gentlemen?

After I found subsitutions for my favorite games; it wasn't so bad. The trade-off was equal if not more.

Nexuiz beasts for a free FPS; as does Warsow.

Man, I remember the day that I wiped MS off of my drive and posted that it was for good.

Who would have thought that five years later, I'd be sitting in a room surrounded by 6 Windows machines.

Just be sure to enjoy the experience for the experience. Too many people swear off an OS because it gives them a sense of revenge against the Evil Empire. Usually, those guys end up using it again . Linux can be a blast if you're using because you want to use it. It can kind of get to be a drag if you're using it because you don't want to use something else...

    thanks,

    Aloof linux user #whatever.

I tested off the charts for MENSA. Unfortunately, it was off the wrong end of the chart.

Well said! I wiped Windows cuz I just didn't really have any use for it anymore.
But you're spot-on when you say enjoy it for the right reasons!

Ditto, it took a few months to find the programs and solutions but just about 99% of everything I could do in Windows I can now duplicate or even do better in Linux.
