    Firefox 3.5 Beta 4

I have downloaded and am trying the browser mentioned in the title. Good grief it's fast! I'm willing to bet that tromps all over Chrome!

So far I haven't a single issue (except the usual IPv6 one)

It'll be interesting to test in on an EEE PC. Firefox was very slow and often froze when using it through Ubuntu EEE. The laptop is off getting repairs at the moment but i'll let you know how it gets works out...

Thanks for the info, elija. I'll probably wait for the official release but am always looking forward to additional speed when it comes along. Very glad to hear that it's working pretty well already.

Most of my add ons aren't compatible so it's not going to be my main browser yet.

Thanks for the additional info. Yeah, I don't run a lot of add-ons, but those that I do run are critical for my own browsing, so only browsers capable of running them will I use.

Elija, you downloaded and willingly tested 3.5b4. But I'm forced to use both this and ext4 ! Guess what distro I'm using...

I completely agree with you. Its *fast*. Never felt like am using a beta on a preview release.

I don't have too many add-ons but most of them worked, I tweaked the 3 that didn't with MR Tech Toolkit and evrythings fine - and fast!!

The ones that don't work for me are:
    • Firebug
    • In line code finder for Firebug
    • Rainbow for Firebug
    • Code burner for Firebug
    • Pixel Perfect
    • YSlow
    • Live HTTP Headers

All of which relate to web development so I guess Beta 4 is OK for general browsing.

@saivin: I'm using ext4 but also by choice

Has anyone else noticed the occasional bit of text in a web page looking blueish, it seems to be il and 's for me?

It appears that there are a number of new features in 3.5, but the added speed is what I look forward to most:

Wonder when the official release is due to come out? It's been at beta 4 for almost a full month now.
